Big Jam Studio Hire Terms & Conditions
By booking a rehearsal at Big Jam Studios you are entering into a contract by which you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the band/artist to abide by the studio’s terms and conditions as detailed below.
Booking a rehearsal: Rehearsal bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of the Big Jam Studios team. Big Jam Studios studios reserve the right to refuse and reschedule. Big Jam Studios reserves the right to cancel bookings at any time with or without prior notice or explanations. Any booking that is cancelled by Big Jam Studios would not be chargeable to the artist/band. Bookings can be made by the following methods only and are not valid until an £11 deposit is paid: • Online booking form • Email: firstname.lastname@example.org • Phone: 017905 385 385.
Payment: An £11 deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining payment is due on arrival at your rehearsal and can be made by either cash or credit / debit card – all major cards excepted. Bands/Artists are responsible to pay in full for the time slots in which they have booked their rehearsal session for. No refunds or reduction in payment would be eligible if rehearsals are shortened. Extended sessions would be subject to full payment of the normal hourly rates for every hour over your allocated time slot.
Cancellations: Deposits are non-transferable & refundable if cancelling or re-scheduling a booking date within 7 days (one week) of the agreed booking date. This includes weekends and bank holidays. Allowances for cancellations due to extreme circumstances are made at the prerogative of Big Jam Studios management.
Breakages and damages to studio equipment: Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the band/individual. Refusal to pay for breakages will lead to exclusion. If an item of equipment is damaged or missing at the start of your session please report it to a member of Big Jam Staff immediately.
Personal items/lost property: Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Big Jam Studios is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged on the premises.
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the studio. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are a safe distance from the studio and that your cigarette stubs are disposed of appropriately in the cigarette bin provided.
Entry/Exit: When leaving and entering the studio, please remember that the main door must be kept shut and locked at all times. Any theft or damages that occur as a result of the door being left open will be chargeable to the band/artist.
Drugs: The studio operates a zero tolerance policy on drugs. If you are suspected of or found to be in possession of ANY CLASS of drugs on the premises, you will be asked to leave and reported to the police.
Food/Drink: You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into your rehearsal room; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy above. Please help us to keep the rehearsal rooms tidy by placing any rubbish in the bins provided.
Locking Up: If you are locking up, please follow the printed instructions handed to you step by step.
Your Booking. Your booking starts at the time you have booked the space for. Any setting up should be done within your booking time as we are not able to allow entry to Big Jam Studios any earlier. The end time of your booking is when you should be packed ups and ready to leave. Any extra time taken over and above your specified time to pack down is chargeable at £20 per hour.
CCTV: As a security provision, CCTV is recorded and monitored throughout the premises.
